Tthe International Labor Organization estimated that there are over 150 million migrant workers in the world today. Many multinational corporations and governments are advocating to temporary worker programs in response to demands to lower labor costs on global supply chains and limit more permanent forms of migration. 

Migrant worker organizations are challenging impacts of existing guestworker programs on decent work across borders, on development, and on democracy in home and destination countries. This talk discussed innovative approaches to community lawyering with trasnational labor migrants, their organizations, and the opportunities this opens up for building worker and community power.
